2 Best Nightlife in Antigua and Barbuda

Abracadabra

The magic truly takes place after dinner at Abracadabra’s Italian restaurant, as the space transforms into a disco on the covered wooden deck set in the venue’s gardens. No-fuss drinks invite partygoers to a raucous night around 11 pm on weekends (an impromptu jam can occur during the week if the vibe demands). A blend of local DJs spinning reggae to rock and legendary themed parties fuse with a melting pot of guests to create the perfect vibe. For more relaxed environs there is a shack in the back playing reggae and lovers rock (think Sade).

Ana's on the Beach

This enormous, multitier, mostly alfresco beach bar–cum–art gallery styles itself a restaurant-lounge. Although the ramrod chrome-finished chairs make for rigid seating, the loud music begs for earplugs, and the globe-trotting menu is too ambitious, this is nonetheless a hip, happening spot and prime Grade A meet market. Breakfast features a hodge-podge menu of local and international treats. The friendly staff is garbed in black pants and bubblegum-pink shirts (stenciled "love is in the air"), the cocktails are fairly inventive, and the rotating art on the walls—including an epoxy-painted surfboard dangling from the white beamed ceiling—displays a savvy selection of the hottest up-and-coming local artists in various media.
