East Nashville

East Nashville is one of the city's hippest enclaves. Made up of several smaller neighborhoods, it is home to some of the city’s best local dining and nightlife, as well as unique local shopping, scenic views, and beloved small and midsize music venues. East Nashville epicenter Five Points boasts local favorite watering holes like 3 Crow Bar, the 5 Spot, Red Door East, and Rosemary & Beauty Queen. Adjacent neighborhoods like Lockeland Springs and McFerrin Park are home to many excellent restaurants, including Lockeland Table and Mas Tacos Por Favor, respectively. Running along the eastern edge of East Nashville is Shelby Park, a 1,000-acre urban greenspace with playgrounds, a dog park, a golf course, and hiking and biking trails. East Nashville doesn’t have many hotel options, but there are plenty of homes and apartments available for rent, which let visitors live like locals. Give yourself plenty of time to explore East Nashville—there are charming pockets of businesses and attractions tucked away across the area, and you never know what delicious bites or must-have buys you’ll stumble across next.
