Downtown Nashville is located in the center of the circle that comprises the city. Join the downtown loop from I–40 if entering from the east or west, or I–65 if coming from the north or south to access downtown. If game day or concert traffic has freeways stalled, main streets like West End Avenue or Woodland Street are effective bypasses. Bus routes are at their most abundant and reliable downtown. Because parking is limited and pricey, utilizing a taxi or rideshare service makes the downtown experience easier, as the surrounding areas are walkable.
