High-rise hotels line the Grand Strand, but kitschy beach motels, beachside camping, luxury resorts, and weekly beach house or cottage rentals are popular choices, too. Most accommodations have pools, and many high-rises up the ante with lazy rivers or water-play areas. Advance reservations are recommended for the majority of beach properties. Ask about special packages that include golf, shows, and shopping.
