Fodor's Expert Review Logan Inn
10 W. Ferry St., New Hope, Pennsylvania, 18938, USA
Established in 1727, this inn once accommodated passengers riding the ferry to Lambertville, and today its old rooms have been renovated and the inn is expanding (at this writing) to a 100-room complex. George Washington is said to have stayed here at least five times—and one can only imagine what he would think of the shoppers who stroll past this inn smack-dab in the busiest part of town. Renovated rooms in the historic inn have neutral tones with pops of color and a stylish mix of retro and modern accent pieces; some have river views. The inn is gaining a new wing with more rooms, as well as an expanded restaurant, two large bar areas, and space for more alfresco dining; there will also be a large banquet area. The Mansion Inn, an adjacent but separate Italianate building that is a local landmark, has additional guest rooms.
PROS
- free parking in the thick of New Hope
- modern style with colorful touches updates historic inn
- alfresco dining
CONS
- continental breakfast not the best
- expansion may make property less intimate
- history of several ghosts
