Crater Lake Natural History Association. The association runs the bookstores at the Steel and Rim visitor centers and partners with the National Park Service to provide education about Crater Lake's natural and cultural history. Visitor Centers

Rim Visitor Center. In summer you can obtain park information at the center, take a ranger-led tour, or stop into the nearby Sinnott Memorial, which has a small museum and a 900-foot view down to the lake's surface. In winter, snowshoe walks are offered on weekends and holidays. A short walk away, the Rim Village Gift Store and cafeteria are the only services open in winter. Steel Visitor Center. Open year-round, the center, part of the park's headquarters, has restrooms, a first-aid station, a small post office, and a shop that sells books, maps, and postcards. There are fewer exhibits than at comparable national park visitor centers, but you can view an engaging 22-minute film, Crater Lake: Into the Deep, which describes the lake's formation and geology and examines the area's cultural history.
