Fodor's Expert Review Eben House

90 Bradford St., Provincetown, Massachusetts, 02657, USA

A rigorous interior renovation in 2015 on this 1776 property—among the oldest of the few remaining brick colonials in town—took it from sad to chic. Guests receive the high-end amenities, comforts, and service of a large boutique hotel in a beautiful, intimate, and friendly historic setting. The neutral palette throughout, with crisp white beds and white subway tile in the showers, is soothing but never boring (take a good look at the large portrait in each guest room: the hotel's namesake stands in his military finery, complete with stage-ready eye makeup and dangling diamonds), especially when punctuated with brilliant bathroom floor tiles and gleaming wood floors.
