Dating from 1865 and once the home of a wealthy sea captain, this grand, hilltop inn has an immense lawn dotted with Adirondack chairs, a wraparound porch, and a fireside lounge with a stylish bar. Guest rooms in both the main inn and the two motel-like guesthouses feature modern, coastal decor; some have vaulted ceilings, fireplaces, and soaking tubs. The sumptuous breakfast, prepared by the chef-owner and served in the dining room or out on the lawn, comes with views of fishermen and sailboats passing by.
