Holding its own beside any of the city's boutique hotels, the SpringHill Suites has a lobby that's a study in sleek, contemporary design, with shimmery aqua drapes lining its windows and ultramodern light fixtures. The rooms are minimalist in style but smartly appointed. A 24-hour market is well stocked with snacks and beverages. An outdoor pool and hot tub with cozy, chic lounge chairs will help you wind down at the end of the day.

Room
Sophisticated but not uptight, clean and airy and not particularly ornate, the guest rooms are a great value for those who appreciate comfort and style but don't need all the boutique hotel trappings and fanfare. Each room has a mini-fridge and microwave so guests can enjoy any leftovers they bring back.
You Should Know Some rooms face the pool area, which closes at 11 p.m. and can get noisy. Request to avoid those if you like to turn in before then.
Bathroom
Bathrooms, which feature separate rooms for shower and toilet areas, are designed to offer some privacy for guests sharing a room. The popular Paul Mitchell bath products are a nice touch.
Lobby
The lobby area is large and features lots of seating options, making it a great place to gather with fellow travelers before heading out to a dinner reservation.
Pool
The heated pool and jacuzzi, although standard in size and design, are great to have access to on hot days or cool nights. The pool area has high walls, keeping it very private from the busy downtown bustle.
Gym
The gym has a great mix of equipment and is well-maintained.

Getting Around
When you're this centrally located in historic downtown Savannah, the easiest and most impressive way to get around is on foot. The local trolley companies that originate from the Visitors Center on MLK Boulevard also offer fascinating—and often colorful—historic tidbits while shuttling visitors around the landmarks.
Restaurants
There isn't a ton of choice for great Latin food in Savannah, but fortunately for the authentic street taco fanatics, there is Tequila's Town (5-minute walk). Their 2-for-1 lunchtime margarita special is perfect for the Savannah open container alcohol law: have one with lunch and take the second to go. Digesting the comfort-food buffet at Paula Deen's famous The Lady and Sons (5-minute walk) will slow you down sufficiently to laid-back local standards. But for finer Southern fare, head over to Alligator Soul (4-minute walk) for the gumbo or shrimp and grits.
Bars
Ordinary Pub (3-minute walk) offers tasty menu selections and the best bottomless mimosa brunch special around, even on weekdays. The Alleycat Lounge (3-minute walk), as you may guess from the name, is a hip speakeasy located in a quiet alley behind tourist-laden Broughton Street. The drinks are stiff, the decor and music are on point, and the bartenders are some of the best in town. And if live music and glam-rock '70s decor is your thing, you will never want to leave El-Rocko Lounge (5-minute walk). The retro photo booth, pachinko machines, and jukebox jammed with old 45s pair perfectly with the small-batch craft cocktails on tap, such as the aptly named Scorpion Tea.
