A grand 1847 Victorian atop a hill overlooking Lake Waramaug, the Hopkins Inn may be one of the best bargains in the area. Most guest rooms have plain white bedspreads, simple antiques, and floral wallpaper. It's nothing fancy, even a bit tired; but considering the setting and gorgeous views, it's still quite nice.
