Fodor's Expert Review La Nebbia
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Because sister restaurant, the cultish La Ciccia, is nearly always booked, the convivial owners opened La Nebbia (which means fog) a block away. Here, you can sit back and linger over plates of prosciutto and other antipasti, like the gorgeously done combo of Spanish anchovies dusted with cocoa, the saltiness balancing the bitter sweet. Or how about a salumi flight? Pizzas, hearty meatballs, lasagna, and lamb skewers have all been added recently to make this a full-on trattoria. However, the enoteca roots show on the Italian wine list of about 70 bottles. Neighbors gather in this simple setting that was once a furniture showroom and is now big on bonhomie and great food.
