Famed architect Richard Meier designed this sleek stone-and-glass building that holds a world-class collection of television and radio programs. You can search for more than 180,000 of them, spanning eight decades, on an easy-to-use computer. Want to watch a disco-infused, late-1970s episode of Sesame Street? It's here, along with award shows, radio serials, and hundreds of TV sitcoms. Visits are free, but memberships also have their privileges with early and discounted ticket access to public programs that feature lectures, screenings, and premieres of upcoming TV shows. In addition to their robust calendar, the center also has rotating exhibits with historical prints, movie and TV memorabilia, and more.
Free parking is available in the lot off Santa Monica Boulevard.
