Planning Your Time

If you’re a traveler with a “to do” list or a vacationer with an agenda, set it aside. Most of your time is going to be spent just relaxing, on an island possibly no larger than a basketball court. Gone are the smartphones, electricity, hot water, and feather pillows, and in their place are snorkel masks, candles, the ocean, and hammocks. For this reason, allow three days to acclimate and soak in true island life. This should give you enough time to explore the crystal waters of the Caribbean, cruise around the island in a dug-out canoe, visit Guna villages, and even buy yourself a mola at a craft market.
