The name reflects the attitude of the owners, Bruce and Donna, who retired to Boca Chica from south Florida and opened the first lodging in the area. Spacious, well-equipped rooms in the main building have private balconies and are decorated with themed murals. For a bit more privacy, request one of the rooms in the detached cabana. All have Wi-Fi, TVs, and ocean views. The hotel is popular with families and has ample grounds, a large infinity pool, and a lively common area open to the public. Bruce's boats are docked below for his next fishing trip, but he'll take you island hopping and can arrange scuba diving. Meals are served on a wide terrace with a view.
