Most good restaurants in the region used to be located in hotels, but today things are changing. Good independent eateries are popping up in small (and sometimes unlikely) towns and villages, and many new establishments specialize in fresh local ingredients. Seasonal menus are now popular. It is important to remember that restaurants here usually serve lunch between noon and 2 and dinner until 8:30 only.
