Like many large European cities, Warsaw offers a variety of options for activities after dark to meet the growing and changing needs of its population. Some Varsovians still prefer to meet for drinks in the evenings in the old central European style in kawiarnie (cafés), where you can linger for as long as you like over a cup of coffee or glass of brandy (well, almost as long as you like, since most cafés are open only until 10 pm). Others head directly to more cosmopolitan pubs, DJ-bars, and clubs, many of which stay open until the wee hours. Live music is fairly common, and there is a certain fashion these days for melding art and nightlife into a single multifunctional establishment: you will find more than one concert venue/pub/gallery, or bookshop-cum-café.
On the second floor of the Marriott, the Casino is Warsaw's plushest and most sedate casino. The gamblers are often international businessmen or Polish jet-setters. It's open daily from 11 am to 7 am, and 24-hours on Friday and Saturday.
If you've got to know the score, Marriott Hotel's Champions, a popular sports bar and restaurant, is a great (albeit pricey) place to watch American basketball, football, and motor sports.
The club regularly hosts rock, jazz and blues concerts, and stand-up comedy nights. There's also an outdoor terrace that gets crowded in summer.
Tygmont is a local legend, frequented by older and younger generations of musicians and audiences.
This popular casino is open daily from 2 pm to 7 am.
