Bergamo
Northern Italian
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This 17th-century tavern on Upper Bergamo's main promenade is furnished with wooden booths and a plethora of copper cookware. It has a cozy northern Italian vibe, local clientele, and a variety of bold local wines. Specialties include Bergamo-style (sweet and savory) risotto and varieties of polenta served with game and mushrooms. Upstairs are several floors of small and simple, but extremely cozy and well-priced guest rooms.
