Lalaria

The much-photographed, lovely Lalaria Beach, on the north coast, is flanked by a majestic, arched limestone promontory. The polished limestone and marble add extra sparkle to the already shimmering Aegean. There's no lodging here, and you can only reach Lalaria by taking an excursion boat or water taxi from the Old Port in Skiathos Town (the buses don't serve this beach). In the same area lie Skoteini (Dark) cave, Galazia (Azure) cave, and Halkini (Copper) cave. If taking a tour boat, you can stop for an hour or two here to swim and frolic. Bring along a flashlight to turn the water inside these grottoes an incandescent blue.
