Spetses Town

By most visitors’ standards, Spetses Town is small—no larger than most city neighborhoods—yet it’s nevertheless divided into districts populated with many well-to-do neoclassical mansions and 19th-century villas. You will arrive in Dapia, the modern harbor. Kastelli, the oldest quarter, extends toward Profitis Ilias and is marked by the 18th-century Ayia Triada Church, the town’s highest point. The area along the coast to the north is known as Kounoupitsa, a residential district of pretty cottages and gardens with pebble mosaics in mostly nautical motifs.
