On the coast as you head north from Mytilini, Moria is best known for its Roman aqueduct. But the town is also famed for its annual Feast of Ayios Dimitrios. The celebrations begin the night of October 25 and continue well into the next day, with the killing and all-night cooking of a bull, accompanied by the entire village singing, dancing, and participating in daylong horse races.
