Ano Meria

The island's paved road runs from the port, through Chora and along the backbone of the island to Ano Meria. Terraced fields where barley was grown amid the barren rock step down to the sea, and sitting above on stone pathways is a whitewashed village seemingly from another age. A handful of tavernas and cafés make it an ideal place to stop after a day on the beach.
