Kontokali

Kontokali is best known for providing the main entry point to Corfu's biggest marina, a delightful place to stroll and admire the yachts, especially in the evening. Behind the marina stands a large roofless structure, built by the Venetians in the early 18th century as part of their shipyards. To the south of the marina lies the island's main cricket ground, incorporating a croquet field. The northern arm of the bay comprises the promontory of Kommeno, where expensive villas and large hotels are set among the trees. Tucked in the corner of the bay, on a tiny island at the approach to Kommeno, is the church of Ipapanti, one of Corfu's most picturesque spots.
