Fodor's Expert Review Arion: A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa

Apollonos 40, Vouliagmeni, Attica, 16671, Greece Fodor's Choice

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

A Westin resort since 2006, Vouliagmeni's 80-acre prestigious Astir Palace complex on the scenic peninsula that once made waves may be a bit dated and tired now, but in general the hotel is well-maintained and still worth considering. Guest rooms have light-color wood furniture, sparkling white linens, a soothing decor, and jaw-dropping perks—like some glass bathroom walls that overlook the sea. You can spend the day on one of Arion Resort's private sandy beaches or pools or opt for some time in the sweetly scented spa with a sea-view therapy pool. Facilities at hand include a water-sports center, a kid's club, and a swimming area that is half pool, half sea. Down by the water, the Astir beach club is a favorite of cosmopolitan Athenians.
