As a friendly place to sleep and shower this is an adequate hotel. With so much to see in this neighborhood, that's all you'll want to do here anyway.

Sandwiched between casual cafés on one of Paris's legendary market streets, this unobtrusive budget hotel is easy to miss, but its prime location shouldn't be overlooked—the Eiffel Tower and Champs de Mars are around the corner, and one of the city's finest street markets is literally outside the front door.
You Should Know Front views of Rue Clerc are the best, but noisier in the morning when the market revs up. The back of the hotel is quiet with no views and less light but plenty of quiet.

Getting Around
The École-Militaire metro station is a few minutes from the hotel, and the Varennes station is about a five-minute walk. There are frequent buses on the Avenue Bosquet.
The upscale 7th arrondissement has its own unique character, a mix of elegant limestone residences and stately old mansions that now house the French government, as well as some of Paris's more well-known sites: the Eiffel Tower, Champs de Mars, Invalides and the lovely Musée Rodin and its gardens. Though you're away from the crowds of central Paris, this is a touristed area, but its residential status also assures plenty of affordable cafés and restaurants—especially on lively rue Cler (pretty much your front yard at this hotel)—as well as some fine shopping, especially on the rue Saint-Dominique.
Restaurants
The Rue Clerc offers enough bistros and cafés for budget meals (but no food allowed in the hotel), and on nearby Rue Saint-Dominique revered chef Christian Constant's three restaurants offer something for every budget. Starting with Café Constant (where the chef hangs out) for a gourmet meal on the cheap; Les Cocottes for something slow-cooked and comforting; and Le Violon d'Ingres for an elegant gastronomic dinner for two.
Bars
Though cafés abound, this is not a big neighborhood for nightclubs or lounge-style bars, but at Hôtel Cinq-Codet's chic hidden garden restaurant and cocktail bar a few minutes away, you can enjoy a well-crafted pour any night of the week until midnight. Café Bar Club Tourville (43 Avenue de la Motte-Picquet), just down the street, is a convivial spot if you feel like a nightcap before calling it a day.
