Train Travel

The superfast TGV Atlantique service links Paris’s Gare Montparnasse to Bordeaux, 585 km (364 miles) away, in 3½ hours. Trains link Bordeaux to Lyon (6½ hrs) and Nice (9 hrs) via Marseille as well. At least a half dozen trains leave Bordeaux most days bound for St-Émilion, arriving 37 minutes later. If you're heading north to Pauillac (75 mins), there are also at least half a dozen trains daily from Bordeaux.
