Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this park has more than 2,000 acres of woodland and rolling hills, including 20 miles of scenic trails for hikers, cyclists, and horse riders. You can climb to the top of 888-foot-tall Butser Hill to take in a panoramic view of the coast. Part of the South Downs National Park, it lies 15 miles north of Portsmouth and 4 miles south of the Georgian market town of Petersfield. A visitor center has a theater, café, and shop.
