Fodor's Expert Review Mode Museum (MoMu)

Located within the sprawling fashion complex known as ModeNatie, ModeMuseum contains comprehensive exhibits highlighting the avant-garde work of such contemporary Flemish designers as the renowned Antwerp Six, as well as clothing, accessories, and textiles dating back to the 18th century. All of which means you can ponder the workmanship of delicate antique lace alongside deconstructed blouses from the late 1990s. It also hosts two major themed exhibitions per year; these often chart a clothing collection from its inception to completion. Also in the museum's complex are the Flanders Fashion Institute, the fashion academy of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (the designer wellspring), a brasserie, library, reading room, and a boutique.
