Fodor's Expert Review Anton Aparthotel
Kandaharweg 4, St. Anton am Arlberg, Tirol, A-6580, Austria
If you're not looking for a quaint Tyrolean hotel, this wood-and-glass house—modern, casual, and almost Zen-like in its simplicity—could be the answer, thanks to its location in front of the slopes and steps from the main ski lifts. Many rooms can be connected, allowing for almost any size group, and although very modern, there's still plenty of wood decor, allowing for a ski-cabin vibe. In the evening, the DJ turns the café into an après-ski hangout light-years away from the usual beer-and-wurst scene. Make reservations in advance, as the hotel has a loyal following.
