Klagenfurt–Wörther See airport, just northeast of Klagenfurt, is served by Austrian, Lufthansa, and German low-cost carrier TUIfly airlines. Several flights daily connect the provincial capital with Vienna and Frankfurt, Germany. In summer, charter flights will take you from here to several popular Mediterranean tourist destinations.

The northern part of Eastern Austria is served by Vienna's international airport at Schwechat, 19 km (12 miles) southeast of the city center.

Graz has its own international airport at Feldkirchen, just south of the city, with flights to and from many major European cities, like London, Paris, and Berlin. Austrian Airlines, FlyNiki, and Lufthansa are the most ubiquitous carriers there.
