The Caribbean sun is hot, so be sure to hit the courts before 10 am or after 5 pm. (Many courts are lighted.) You can indulge in a set or two even if you're staying in a guesthouse without courts; most hotels rent time to nonguests.

Sub Base. There are two public tennis courts, open on a first-come, first-served basis at no cost. Lights are on until 10 pm. Rte. 306, next to Water and Power Authority, Charlotte Amalie, Saint Thomas, 00802.
