Why We Like It

Come for the price, stay for the immaculate rooms, full kitchens, and well-kept pool. On an island where nightly accommodations can go for easily five times as much, these apartments offer considerable value for budget travelers. Proximity to the beach is a plus, although you'll need to rent a scooter or take the bus if you plan on venturing elsewhere. The staff are beyond accommodating and can assist you with directions, recommendations, or anything else you may need.

Fodor's Expert Review

They're not exactly fancy, but these apartments are probably the island's best option if you're on a budget. Choose between two studios or six one-bedrooms—all with fully equipped kitchens. The four sunny upstairs units have balconies, and the downstairs apartments have patios, leading onto a communal lawn and a nice pool. It's a popular spot for families with kids and is only a five-minute stroll away from one of Bermuda's nicest beaches, Warwick Long Bay.

You Should Know While close to the beach, this property is isolated from restaurants, shops, nightlife, and well... pretty much everything else. If you aren't comfortable renting a scooter, expect to rack up a considerable taxi bill or become an expert at Bermuda's bus system.

Room

Spacious and spotlessly clean with fully-equipped kitchens and daily housekeeping services.

Tip Long term rates and repeat guest discounts are a great way to save; call for availability and pricing.

Bathroom

The modest ensuite bathrooms are nothing to write home about but the extra beach towels are a nice touch.

Lobby

The apartments don't have a lobby, per say, but the entranceway and property grounds are perfectly manicured, with unmistakable attention to detail.

Pool

The pool is small but, like everything else on the property, clean and inviting. Enjoy a pleasant bird's eye view from the pool deck which is no more than a few steps away from any of the eight guest apartments.

Dining

There aren't any restaurants on-site or within walking distance, so plan on cooking in. If you do decide to taxi, the closest dining options are located at The Fairmont Southampton, a 7-minute drive from the property.

Tip Stop at Lindo's or Heron Bay Marketplace on your way from the airport to stock up on groceries and BBQ supplies. Preparing meals may not sound much like vacation but trust us--you'll save a fortune.

Drinking

Just because there's no bar doesn't mean you can't drink. Buy some booze at the Duty Free shop in the airport and mix your own cocktails as soon as you check-in.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

If you're seeking sand and sun, Warwick Long Bay is only a few minutes away by foot; renting a scooter is the best way to explore the rest of the island. You can also catch a bus from South Shore Road or call a taxi--just be prepared to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes for your driver to arrive.

Restaurants

Chow down on affordable diner food, all-day breakfast, and unique local specialties--think pan-fried rockfish and fish chowder--at the casual and neighborly Island Cuisine Restaurant (6-minute drive). At the opposite end of the spectrum is the intimate and elegant Coconuts Restaurant (7-minute drive) at The Reefs Resort & Club. Nothing says romance quite like a candlelit dinner for two served right on the beach.

Bars

West of Warwick Long Bay is the gentle curve of Bermuda's most famous sandy shoreline, Horseshoe Bay Beach, home to Rum Bum Beach Bar (5-minute drive). Retreat into the shade with a bucket of beer and enjoy an afternoon of live reggae music played on steel pan drums. If you're looking to get your buzz on, hit up The Swizzle Inn Pub & Restaurant (4-minute drive) for rum swizzle by the pitcher. Sweet and deadly--it's the island's favorite drink for a reason!
