Visitor Information

In the bigger cities, you'll find storefronts and street kiosks with signs reading "Tourist Information." However, finding someone who speaks enough English to be helpful might be difficult, as these booths cater to domestic travelers. Your best bets for in-depth assistance are larger hotels. Be polite and persistent. Write dates clearly when inquiring about tickets, speak slowly, and inspect any tickets given to you thoroughly before leaving. Look for copies of the English-language Redstar (Qingdao), Map Magazine or The Nanjinger (Nanjing), and More Suzhou in hotels, restaurants, and coffee shops.
