Train Travel

Trains run from Jerusalem's Malcha Train Station to Tel Aviv. There is no service on the Sabbath or Jewish religious holidays. The last train on Friday or holiday eves departs from either city about two hours before sunset. Service resumes late Saturday night (www.rail.co.il for updated schedules). The trip takes 85 minutes and costs NIS 20 one way, NIS 32 return. It's a fun family excursion.
