40th Anniversary at Tahiti
Hey all,
The hubby and I are planning a 40th anniversary trip in Tahiti February 1-15, 2025.
We have an oceanfront condo rented as a home base but want to book multiple excursions, etc., from there.
What should we do?
Thanks so much,
Kathi

I'm far from a FP expert; I've only been there a couple of times, once to the island of Huahine and another time to the island of Moorea, but each time I spent two or three days in Papeete before or after my visit to the islands. But since no one has responded, I have a few recommendations for you.
I would recommend a day trip to Moorea. The ferry ride takes 30 minutes.
Visit the Papeete Market (Marché Papeete). The roulottes (down by the port) are also popular).
Just outside of Papeete, there is also the Museum of Tahiti and the Islands.
If your are a scuba diver or snorkeler, I would look into local tour operators.
You will be there during cyclone season. Not a major worry, just something to be aware of.

Hi Daniel,
we’ve actually shifted gears a bit and are doing some island hoping now but still starting from Tahiti so your thoughts will be helpful. Thanks so much for taking time for the reply and for the anniversary wishes!

40th Anniversary trip-First timers to FP. HELP NEEDED
[QUOTE=Katmiller1;17536725]Hey all,
The hubby and I are planning a 40th anniversary trip in Tahiti February 1-15, 2025.
We are spending a day in Tahiti on the front and back end with 3 nights each at Moorea and Taha an and 4 nights at Bora Bora tucked in between.
We’ve been lucky to go to the Caribbean quite a bit but outside of Hawaii when we were kids, this is our first time to the FP area.
Looking for recommendations for what to see, do and especially eat!
Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!
